WinterFit
Calling all xc skiers and snowshoers!
Let’s get ready for winter. Learn some fitness moves that are specific to xc skiing and snowshoeing as well as some dry land training (striding and bounding with poles). Beginners welcome!
The WinterFit preseason program will help you:
- Boost up your cardio
- Better your balance
- Strengthen your core
- Tune up your technique
- Bump up your confidence
- AND have fun!

Registration: Please register every week for each WinterFit session. Registration for each week opens two weeks in advance. A maximum of 25 participants are welcome to register each week.
Leaders:
What to Wear: Dress in layers. It may be cool to start but you will warm up. Running shoes are best but light weight low cut hikers would be OK too. In cool weather, bring a tuque and lightweight gloves.
What to Bring:
- Water
- xc ski poles; (bring an old pair if you have them. If you don’t have ski poles bring hiking poles)
- yoga mat
- a pack or bag to put your things in
In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled.
