Follow Hwy. #6 South
Enter Port Dover and cross bridge
Follow #6 around to the right – MAIN St.
Follow 600 m., right on Nelson St.
Left On Patrick St., right on Bridge Alley
Parking Lot on Left – look for Green HOC flag.
Allow 1.25 hours from Burlington.

Moderate, about 4 kmph
DURATION APPROX
About 4 Hours.
TERRAIN
Easy -Moderate. Screened pathways within park and along Rail Trail. Some gentle ups and downs. Street walking and sidewalks.
TYPE OF HIKE:
There and back on the Lynn Valley Rail Trail. (7 km.)
Street walking and sidewalks within the Town of Port Dover.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Point of interests
Something a little different. On the shores of Lake Erie, Port Dover is a beautiful Harbour town. From the pier see the fishing boats heading back in with their catch. Enjoy the “beach”. And of course, enjoy an Arbour Dog and Golden Glow or Fresh Perch and fries.

Opens on-line 2 weeks prior to the hike and is limited to 20 hikers
WHAT TO BRING
COVID CAUTION
Safe distancing will be observed as per Covid protocols
GUIDING NOTES:
HIKE PACE - Leisure: 3 km/hr or less. Moderate: 3-4 km/hr or Fast: 4-5km/hr. All paces are average and depending on the terrain.
TERRAIN - Easy: mostly flat and usually good footing (i.e. rail trails, Confederation Park, Bay Front Park), Moderate: some hills and/or poor footing (Bruce Trail, Dundas Valley, etc.) and Challenging: steep hills and strenuous footing (Bruce Trail, some trails in Short Hills, Dundas Valley and Red Hill Valley). Please note variations can be expected with weather conditions.
