GENERAL LOCATION
Mount Nemo Conservation area, 5317 Guelph Line, Burlington
START TIME
9:15 for 9:30 start
** Book a time slot through Conservation Halton. Click on parkvisit.ca Reservation (parkpassproject.com) Choose Mount Nemo and the 9:15-12:15 time slot. (If 9:15 is full, choose 9:10 or 9:20.) If you don't have a park pass, there will be a fee of $9.50 for adults and $7.50 for seniors. **You must book a time slot online in order to do this hike.

Upper parking lot of Mount Nemo Mount Nemo Conservation Area (Reservations Required) - Google Maps
Meet at the large outdoor map posted beside the parking lot

Moderate (about 3.5 km per hour)

Moderate - Challenging (some rocky areas that are more challenging)

A loop with a possible out and back along the escarpment.

Two Part Registration
Yes. A Must. Leaders appreciate early registration and at least 24 hours before the event.
**You must book a time slot online with Conservation Halton and register with HOC in order to do this hike.
CANCELLATION
• If your plans change, please self-cancel as soon as possible so that other HOC members may take your spot.
• The club may cancel due to bad weather that may impact the safety of participants or due to low attendance.
REGISTRATION OPENS
2 weeks before the hike
WHAT TO BRING
• Trails may be covered with hard packed snow/ice. Crampons (icers) are mandatory to prevent slipping.
• Wear supportive hiking boots with good tread. Hiking poles will be helpful.
• Dress in layers according to weather
• Carry waterproof rainwear, snacks and water
• Sun protection if necessary
IMPORTANT COVID REMINDERS
The club’s Covid-19 Safety Guidelines will be observed.
GUIDING NOTES:
HIKE PACE - Leisure: 3 km/hr or less. Moderate: 3-4 km/hr or Fast: 4-5km/hr. All paces are average and depending on the terrain.
TERRAIN - Easy: mostly flat and usually good footing (i.e. rail trails, Confederation Park, Bay Front Park), Moderate: some hills and/or poor footing (Bruce Trail, Dundas Valley, etc.) and Challenging: steep hills and strenuous footing (Bruce Trail, some trails in Short Hills, Dundas Valley and Red Hill Valley). Please note variations can be expected with weather conditions.
