2024 Spring Information Fair
Tuesday March 3rd. Mind and Body Workout #1
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Meeting Point: Westdale, at the corner of Parkview Dr. and Franklin Ave. Free, limited parking on the roads. I am suggesting to avoid McMaster parking as it’s expensive (6$/hr).
Pace: Moderate, 3.5-4 km per hour.
Terrain: Mixed flat and hilly. Bring hiking poles and icers just in case.
Hike description: Hike will cover a few trails (Princess Point, Ginger and Ravine Rd) in the Westdale RBG trails for 1.5-2 hr at moderate pace in the direction towards MacMaster, Concert Hall, L.R. Wilson Hall. There we'll participate in a free lunch concert at 12:30 pm. Bring snacks to munch on before concert. Today we will enjoy the “Azuline Duo”, award-winning musicians Sara Traficante (flute) and Emma Rush (guitar). This ensemble pushes the boundaries of their instruments with both historical and contemporary music by Manuel de Falla, Astor Piazzola, Maximo Diego Pujol, and others. After the concert we'll walk on the campus roads to get back to our cars (approx. 1 km).
