Hiking The Bench in Beamsville

Thursday, August 27- The Bench in Beamsville

Time: 9:00 am. Come no later that 8:45 am to take attendance and go over COVID 19 guidelines to be followed during the hike.

Location: Beamsville

Pace: Moderate, 4-5 km per hour

Distance: Approximately 2 hours

Terrain: Combination of flat and some hills

Meeting Place: Park at the end of Hixon St in Beamsville. Coming on QEW Niagara, take exit 64 onto Ontario St, continue south until you come to a T crossing with King St (country Rd 18). Turn left on King St and turn right on 500 m onto Hixon St. Drive straight to destination just below the escarpment. Plenty of parking but do not block the Hixon Water Pumping Station.

Description: We will hike several local and Bruce Trails. Starting with an easy climb of the Niagara Escarpment. We will also hike in the Kinsmen Community Park area.

Covid 19 Safety guidelines: No carpooling, bring plenty of water, face mask, hand sanitizer. 

Registration: max 9 people, 24 hrs prior to event.
