Pace: Moderate (3-4 Km/hr),
Hike Description: This is a loop hike that will take you mostly in the Dundas Valley Conservation. The highlights are Griffin house, Carolinian forest and of course the Victorian train station with its 2 rail cars. This hike will take us on the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail. The original train runs from 1892 and 1987 (TH&B railway). The route takes us Gravel Pit Rd., onto Headwaters and Main Loop Trails. Few hills will keep your heart racing. There are washrooms and snack if you choose take advantage before of after the hike. Asia will choose the best coffee place for getting your energy back after the hike.
Parking and Driving Directions: Trail Head at N43o 14.846’W79 59.691’. Park at the Dundas Conservation Area (DCVA) off Governors Rd. After parking follow the gravel road toward the Trail Centre. Parking fees apply: 10$ per car.
