MIDWEEK GETAWAY – KAWARTHA
Tues. Jan. 30 - Wed. Jan. 31
Leaders: Sue and Frank Elias

Our midweek getaway features two days of skiing and/or snowshoeing in North Kawartha township, traveling by luxury coach. Kawartha Nordic, is a lovely Nordic ski and snowshoe club located 40 minutes north of Peterborough. Take a couple of days off from your usual routine or job and come and join us, hopefully it will be peak snow conditions!

The Kawartha Nordic (KN) is a "not-for-profit" organization operated by numerous volunteers. Founded in 1976 by a group of avid skiers, Kawartha Nordic now offers 45 kms of classic and skate trails, as well as 9 km of snowshoe trails through scenic Canadian Shield wilderness.  The trails are suitable for all levels of skiers and snowshoers. Kawartha Nordic owns 350 acres of land and holds a "land use" permit for their remaining trails on crown land.  They are fortunate enough to have a Piston Bulley groomer, greatly improving the quality of grooming and the overall skiing experience.

Please Note: Masks are no longer required on the HOC bus. Wearing a mask is optional and the choice remains at the discretion of the individual, as their own comfort and concern dictates. If provincial regulations change, mask mandates will change accordingly.
